The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has collaborated with Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) team to bring the ‘Lost and Found’ functionality on UMANG app, under the CISF section.
With this service, passengers can directly register complaints and receive the status on-the-go; they can also request for technical consultancy on the app.
Launched on the Raising day of the CISF on March 10, this service offers three main functionalities – “Lost and found items at airports”, “Tracking complaint/request status” and “Technical consultancy in security and fire services”.
Lost and Found’ Web application becomes more citizen-centric
Back in 2015, the CISF had started a Lost and Found service on their website for commuters who would lose their items and valuables at airports.
However, the web app did not allow passengers to register a complaint and for complainants, tracking their items was difficult and time-consuming since airports had to upload the items found at their respective airports on the web portal.
UMANG: A one-stop shop for all government services
UMANG app launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Nov. 23, 2017 is a one-stop shop for all the government services.
This free Android app offers more than 150 government services from 33 state and central government departments.
Some of the services include paying utility bills, services related to PAN card, passport, income tax, PF, land records and GST among others.
